Rebuild Mechanic Progress (+Linux option!)


The previous update was about getting repairable devices to interact with the player’s inventory. This update experiments with how to make different repair recipes change the core behavior of a device.

Currently, my one type of device (doors) can build built using one of two working recipes: a basic always-open door, and a motion-activated automatic door.

I’m still working on the third option: a trapped door that has an appetite for robots (It’ll make sense once you explore the second room). However, I wanted to get this build uploaded as quickly as possible, since it also includes a few background improvements too.
